Muhurtas  Come with Expiry Dates

India’s Rahu – A Painful Compromise

Muhurtas are specific windows of time, that are assessed to be auspicious for the start of new activities. Activities for which muhurtas are sought, usually tend to have a significant impact on the lives of those performing the activity.

Muhurta-seekers pay money to get muhurtas calculated so they can draw maximum benefit from the new venture/activity and secure their investment of time and effort, sometimes even money, by using positive and helpful impact of planetary positions to further their goals. This is done especially by those playing a high-stakes game.

Those who have consulted astrologers will know – to make horoscopes, three bits of information are required. They are – date, time and place of birth. Using this information, an astrologer can cast a horoscope and evaluate it to decode how and what events will unfold in the life of the person/entity. The objective of any muhurta calculation exercise is the selection of a suitable and appropriate date and time at a pre-designated place, for the start of a new activity.

Based on how detailed the calculation for a muhurta is, it can be a horoscope which is made in advance, with the assumption that ‘something new’ will be started, or ‘somebody’ will be born at a certain time in the future. If the evaluation of this future-horoscope suggests that the new entity will experience happy times and/or successful execution of plans, it is called a good muhurta, otherwise not.

Sometimes clients are not sure about adhering to specific muhurta-times (1-2 hour window) due to the start-time being dependent on a variety of things, over which the client has no control. In such cases, only the day/date, with a 12-15 hour effective window that is assessed to be auspicious, is suggested.

By ‘New-Entity’ we mean the material or abstract entity that is formed at the time when ‘something new’ is started. Example – When a new business is started, the company/firm/establishment/corporation becomes the new-entity. When the education of a child is started, the knowledge that the child will acquire becomes the new-entity. When a couple gets married at a certain time, their new relation becomes a new-entity.

For how long, and at what times, will the ‘new-entity’ experience happy times and successful execution of plans?

Happy times and successful execution of plans is experienced in dashas of well-placed planets. The word ‘Dasha’ literally means – ‘condition’ or ‘circumstance’ or the ‘state of affairs’ that the new-entity will find itself in. The ‘dasha’ or condition of the new-entity will depend on the ‘condition’ of the operating-planet(s) during the ‘period-of-review’.

Dashas change with time, but they follow a fixed pattern. Their duration is also definite. Looking at the horoscope, it is easy to know which dasha will operate at what time. The horoscope will also show whether the condition and position of the dasha lord or the ‘chief-operating-planet’ is good or not. Putting these two bits of information together, it can be assessed whether the condition/situation/position of the new-entity will be good, bad or mediocre, during a certain period in the future.

It is noteworthy that some part of the final result also depends on the position of the ‘operating-dasha-lords’ in transit. But the contribution of this ‘transit-position-factor’, or ‘dynamic-result-factor’ in shaping the final result, is generally less. Also, this transit-position-influence is good and bad in cycles. In the bigger picture, or on the bigger graph-sheet of evaluation, broadly, the course of the trendline will always be decided by the static position of the ‘chief-operating-planet’ in the horoscope. That static position is the position of the planet in the muhurta horoscope and therefore, the importance of muhurta-calculation can never be over-emphasized.

A smart astrologer will try to find a muhurta which promises a concentration of positive planetary effects on the life of the new-entity, within a period of time, that the new-entity is expected to be most active/ useful in.

(Objective is - Most lucky when luck is required, or most lucky when most busy)

When the assessment of a 20-25 year-period in the future, shows that it is going to be a time of happy experiences and successful execution of plans, because two-three successive dashas will be governed by well-placed planets, the muhurta can be categorized as ‘good’ and ‘desirable’.

If a child were to be born at the start of such a 20-25 year period, he/she will have a happy and comfortable childhood.

If dashas that come after the said 20-25 year period, are governed by planets that are not ‘well-placed’, the person will have to struggle in various ways till the time another good dasha starts.

Question – Why can’t all dashas give positive and beneficial results?

Answer – All nine planets, or even a majority of them, are rarely poised at the same time, to give beneficial results. The explanation of when such situations (majority of planets are well-placed at the same time) occur, is beyond the scope of this article. (It’s a slightly complicated calculation)

Experienced astrologers will tell you that to even have three or four, well-placed planets in a horoscope, is a rare boon. Four or more, well-placed planets in a horoscope, take the person to dizzying heights.

Now, think of a situation when a continuous period of 20-25 years, is governed by ill-placed and/or helpless planets. The result usually is unhappiness on account of failure in ventures, disease, dispute, injury, debt or other such reasons.

In case of individuals, help and support from friends, family, well-wishers and accumulated-wealth usually help to tide-over such difficult times. But, what do you think will happen in case of larger entities like business-houses, political-parties and countries?

At this point, the reader should think about the following questions –

  • -- Who will help such large-entities to sustain for 20 years? Even if help does come, will it come in pro-bono form or will there be a cost attached?
  • -- During dashas of ill-placed planets, will the entities in question continue to achieve the goals they were created to achieve? When large-entities are unable to function properly for a long time, what kind of results can one expect?
  • -- At the onset of such long and difficult periods, can we say that the muhurta that was calculated for the start of large entities, has ‘expired’?

In our opinion, muhurtas for large entities expire when long streaks of bad-luck or successive dashas of ill-placed planets start. But that is our opinion. Readers, should decide whether to agree or disagree with us after carefully analyzing observations and experiences from their own lives.

The objective of this article is to create awareness about the importance of muhurta-calculation and about the fact that all entities have a calculable span of ‘useful life’. Despite the best efforts of all stakeholders and well-wishers, it is highly unlikely that any entity (person/ group/ organization/ country) will thrive and prosper in the same way, all the time.

A period of disorientation, deterioration, or decay will come for sure. When that happens with living beings, they fail, fall-sick and sometimes die.

What will happen in case of large-entities, is a question we want our readers to think about. And to convince them that the time they spend on this thinking activity, will be a very prudent investment, we want to talk about the horoscope of the largest democracy in the world – India.

The Background

India was a British colony that gained independence in 1947. There are a lot of reasons and explanations as to why the British officials supervising the hand-over of power, chose 14th August 1947 as the date on which to grant independence to India as well as the then newly-formed country – Pakistan. We urge curious readers to find out those reasons themselves. We can make claims, but can’t prove anything.

Pakistan accepted what they were offered. They celebrate their independence on 14th August every year.

Indian decision-makers, following a traditional and cultural practice, got the proposed time of independence-declaration evaluated by trusted and experienced astrologers, and were advised to delay the declaration until the last hour of 14th August 1947. After evaluation of all given muhurta options, it can be said, that in the given situation and constraints, the best that could have been done by astrologers was done. Nehru & company tactfully persuaded the British to wait till midnight. As a result, India celebrates its independence on 15th August.

The  Journey  So  Far

India’s journey so far may not have been a dream-run, but, in the 75 years after independence, India has – made and executed 5-year plans, set-up premier educational institutions, brought-about green and white revolutions, had a female prime-minister as early as the 1960s, won 3 wars, claimed 3 cricket world-cups, produced entertainers like Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar, seen the rise of companies like Reliance and Infosys, made super-computers, acquired nuclear weapons, launched satellites, sent an expedition to Mars, made a vaccine for Covid-19, indigenously built a fighter-aircraft, a naval aircraft-carrier, and achieved a lot more, than can be stated in this short article, to shed its image of a land roamed by elephants and snake-charmers.

Those rejecting the importance of muhurta-calculation, can compare how India and Pakistan have fared since 1947. Absolutely everything is attributable to the planetary positions in the horoscope……everything!

The Bitter Truth

All of India’s achievements have come during dashas of planets that were fairly well-placed. Seventy-five (75) years have passed. The bitter truth is, India will soon run-out of good dashas.

Regular readers and followers of JyotishWorks.com will know and agree that the delay in declaration of independence, gave India a horoscope that gives its citizens a better experience of democracy and its military, a better chance of emerging victorious in armed conflicts. But these advantages came at a price. India chose Taurus as its ascendant. With Taurus, Rahu, which was traversing through Taurus at that time, also came to the ascendant and became a major decider of India’s fate.

The ascendant is the first, and arguably the most important house in the horoscope. It is like the conductor of an orchestra. The other houses being the musicians who take their cues from the conductor. Rahu’s occupation of the ascendant, gives it influence and control over the conductor.

Following is India’s horoscope and the Dasha scheme that the chart has –

Maha-Dasha                 Starting Dates

The picture will show the readers, that the current Mahadasha or simply – Dasha of Moon will come to an end in 2025. After that Mars dasha will run for 7 years and end in 2032. After Mars, Rahu will operate for 18 years and will end in 2050.

Moon’s dasha is almost over. What will Mars do?

Mars will run for 7 years, from 2025 to 2032. After a lot of deliberation and analysis, we think Mars’s dasha will make the country feel that a lot of good has been done in the areas of finance, money, revenue-generation, business and profession, but in reality, progress and growth are not likely to be all-inclusive and only a few sections of the society are likely to benefit from this dasha. The others will feel cheated because taxpayer money is likely to be wasted or spent on unproductive pursuits, from which the general population will gain nothing.

Mars has the following roles in India’s horoscope –

  1. From the Lagna (Reality) – From the lagna chart, we get to see the true picture of things, whether or not the entity whose horoscope is being evaluated, agrees with the analysis.

When seen from the lagna or the ascendant, Mars is lord of the 12th house and the 7th house, and a very capable malefic or a ‘villain’ in India’s horoscope. This is because, as lord of the 12th house – Mars is a trik lord, and as lord of the 7th house, it is a maarak.

(Maarak = Death Inflicting Planet)

(TrikLord = Lord of 6th, 8th and 12thhouses ; these houses cause conflicts, disappointment and loss)

When lords of trik and maarak houses collaborate or combine anywhere in the horoscope, they give rise to a proper arishtha or a ‘serious unavoidable problem’. Mars, through its lordship over 1 trik and 1 maarak house, on its own, becomes capable of creating that ‘serious and unavoidable problem’.

  1. From the Moon (Perception) – When the horoscope is evaluated from the Moon, we get to know things from the view-point of the person or the entity whose horoscope is evaluated. It may or may not be the true picture of things, but it tells us what the person/ entity thinks about people and situations it faces. In this case, the entity is the country and the people in question are those who Mars represents in astrology.

When seen from the Moon, Mars is the ‘yoga-karaka’ planet or the ‘best well-wisher’ that the entity thinks, it has. In other words, Mars will be seen as a ‘significator of good-times’ by the people of India.

It will take some intellect and maturity to understand what is being said here.

Putting together both inferences drawn from the description of Mars’ roles in independent India’s horoscope, it can be said that the entity – India, might think of some people/ institutions/ organizations as their ‘best well-wishers’ but those are the very people who will truly hurt and harm the country by wasting or stealing the country’s accumulated wealth, or by condoning, ratifying, or facilitating the actions of those involved in such activities.

Now that the difference between Mars’ roles, its actual intentions, and the perception that it will create, has been stated, let’s get to what Mars is likely to do in its tenure as the ‘chief operating planet’ between 2025 and 2032.

Question – Where, or in which area, will this promise of a ‘serious unavoidable problem’ created by Mars, manifest?

Answer – Mars' likely performance in its two roles during its Dasha should be assessed in 3 parts -

  1. From the Lagna – Since Mars is placed in the 2nd house from Lagna, the problem will emerge in the money/ finance and consistency/ discipline area. Taxpayer money will be ‘lost’ or ‘wasted’ due to indiscipline and inconsistent application of administrative practices and/or arbitrary decisions of those in positions of power and authority. Also, the 2nd house deals with family matters and in case of a country this implies the relations between states, and relation of the central government with states. These relations too will get adversely affected by the problem created by Mars.

Since Mars represents the military and it is Mars who will ‘waste’ the country’s money, or prepare the ground for that to happen, some defense-deal may become the mode of such ‘wastage’. Keep reading to understand this last sentence better.

  1. From the Moon – Mars is placed in the 12th house. The 12th house is a house of loss, unproductive activity and wastage. Placement of Mars in the 12th house points towards, wastage of wealth. Since Mars is the lord of the 10th house from the Moon, it represents the government and its various arms. Mars' placement in the 12th house (house of loss) shows loss of friends, (foreign-policy debacles), failures of government's policies and decisions resulting in reduced earning and wastage of time and resources through indulgence in unproductive and wasteful activities. From here too, the source of ‘wastage’ or ‘expenditure’ seems to be something to do with the military. Also, when a malefic like Mars is placed in the 12th house, the loss/ wastage proves to be involuntary and painful.
  2. Through Divisional Charts – A deeper-dive into divisional charts shows that this money-loss situation is likely to materialize through financial institutions and/or banks, or well-funded organizations or individuals who will act on the directions of the people in power.

In one short sentence – Mars will prepare the runway for Rahu’s take-off. Mars will, very tactfully prepare the ground for Rahu to do what it has to do…. and the country will happily allow it to happen because Mars will only be viewed as a well-wisher, irrespective of what it actually does.

Another thing that Mars will SURELY do, is end India’s fascination/ craze with social-media usage and greatly reduce the efficacy of the pseudo-media’s (Godi-media’s) attempts that are aimed at exploiting the gullibility of India’s illiterate and semi-literate population to benefit those in power. This will happen, because in 2025, dasha of India’s 3rd Lord – Moon, which has a duration of 10 years, will come to an end. Among other things, the 3rd house is also the house of written-communication, media and broadcasting services. It signifies, journalists, media-houses, broadcasters, media-persons, social-media influencers and people involved in similar activities and professions. It can be said with a lot of certainty that after 2025, the ‘Sun will NOT shine as brightly for them’ as it did during the dasha of Moon. To ‘continue making hay’, they will have to adapt.

A simple subtraction of 10 from 2025, will make the reader arrive at the start-year of the Godi-media boom in India. Smart readers will smile and see our point.

Though there is much more to say, particularly about possibilities of some ‘special events’ being hosted by Mars’ dasha, we will stop here about Mars, to keep this article short and interesting. To explain everything that Mars can do, we think, another dedicated piece will be required. So, before moving-on to the next part of this article, we promise to return with more information about Mars’ major period soon.

After Mars, Rahu will start. What will Rahu do?

We’ll get to what Rahu will do, but let us first understand what Rahu is. Rahu is not a regular planet or a visible and tangible gross-object like the Sun, Moon or Mars. Rahu and Ketu are instead, ‘shadowy planets’ which are basically ‘calculated points’ in the sky that are known to have a significant effect on life and events on earth.

In reality, the Earth moves around the Sun, but to decode the impact of planetary movements, we have to assume that the Sun moves through the twelve zodiac-signs every year. The basic assumption here is – The Sun is moving. If the Sun is moving, it has a predictable orbit. The Moon, we already know, moves around the Earth and has a predictable orbit. These two orbits are like two rings around the Earth. When observed from the Earth, the two points at which these two orbits ‘appear to meet/intersect’ are the two points called Rahu and Ketu by Vedic astrologers.

If you find this difficult to understand, take two rings or bangles or hoola-hoops. Ideally one should be slightly bigger than the other. Hold the bigger-one parallel to the ground (at an angle of zero degrees) and slowly slide the smaller-one into the bigger, holding it perpendicular to the ground (at an angle of ninety degrees). At some point, both circles/rings (bangles/rings/hoola-hoops) will appear to have the same center. Hold the smaller ring at that point, and put a small ball in what seems to be the approximate centre of the two circles/rings. This small ball is the Earth, the two rings are the orbits of the Sun and the Moon and the two points at which the rings intersect, are Rahu and Ketu. Now the reader must have understood, what ‘calculated points in the sky’ means.

Now, let’s understand what Rahu can do. We can give a simple and direct answer, but we like to make our readers think, so instead of giving a direct answer, we will first take the readers on a trip down memory-lane and remind them of the times when Rahu was operating as the Antardasha Lord or as a second-in-command (2ic).

During the small (sub) periods or antardashas that Rahu has had control of in the past, it has shown some glimpses of its intentions and potential. The following table shows the dates within which Rahu’s antardasha was operating in independent India’s horoscope.

After going through this table, any rational reader will agree, that Rahu is an unmistakable trouble-creator for India. Some readers, depending on their political inclination, might dismiss the idea that some of the events listed here were not scams at all, just because courts have acquitted the accused. But unbiased, well-read and informed Indians, who know how the courts and the legal-system in India works, will smile after recalling a famous quote by the Greek philosopher, Thrasymachus, the essence of which is – Justice is that which protects the interests of the powerful.

Educated and aware readers don’t need anybody to tell them whether anything was actually wrong. That group is our target audience. Our objective is not to challenge the rulings of the court. We just want our readers to see the pattern of events during various antardashas (sub-periods) of Rahu and think about what they should expect in the 18-year period, during which Rahu will be the ‘chief-operating-planet’.

Smart readers will now have understood what was meant by ‘wastage of country’s money’ by mode of ‘defense deals’.

Basically, in its 18-year dasha, Rahu will curtail press-freedom, restrict free-speech and independent thinking, create situations conducive for misappropriation of money by decision-makers, bring about a fall in currency value, effect unusual inflation spikes, make the government unpopular, thereby inducing political instability, and at some point, involve the country in a military operation of historical importance.

That 18-year dasha will start in 2032. But before that comes, there is one more Rahu antardasha (sub-period) which India has to bear with. That antardasha (Mars-Rahu) will start in February 2026 and run till March 2027.

Why was Rahu’s problem not taken care of, at the time of independence muhurta calculation? Why couldn’t the ‘learned’ and ‘experienced’ astrologers, who calculated India’s independence muhurta foresee this?

Rahu is able to create trouble for India because of three reasons. Out of these three, two stem from the time-factor (hours and minutes) chosen for the declaration of independence. They could have been negated by declaring independence a couple of hours earlier or later.

In our previous article about Indian and Pakistani independence, we gave reasons why Taurus was chosen as the ascendant and why declaring independence a few hours earlier, would have put India in troubles, far worse than what Rahu has presented.

The third reason comes from the date-factor (year, month, day) and could have been negated only by postponing the declaration by a few days. That option wasn’t available.

Readers who are knowledgeable about astrology and are argumentative, will ask – Why wasn’t independence declared a few hours later?

Why couldn’t the astrologers suggest Cancer as the ascendant? That would have negated two of Rahu’s strengths and put 5 planets in the ascendant, along with the ascendant lord. That would have made the world look at India as an almost undisputed leader or the ‘big brother’ of the region i.e. neighboring countries would have done a lot of things only to keep India happy and stay in its good books. Why couldn’t the Indian decision makers stay-up for some more time and keep the question-answer/ clarification thing going for another 4 hours? What happened to Nehru’s foresight and tact? Did India lose that opportunity because of Nehru’s failure to keep the officiating British staff engaged till early morning? Or was it the incompetence of the astrologers summoned for calculation of the independence muhurta, that has cost India a significantly higher position in the world-order?

It is true that Cancer as the ascending sign was available after 3:42 AM on 15th August 1947. If independence had been declared at let’s say 4:00 am, it would have put 5 planets in the ascendant/ lagna, making it very strong and like a magnet. But, the ‘big brother’ status would not have come immediately because the Moon was in Pushya nakshatra and Saturn being the lord of Pushya, the first mahadasha would have been that of Saturn. The next one would have been that of Mercury and the last of these two dashas would have ended sometime in 1979.

For Cancer ascendant horoscopes, both Saturn and Mercury are not good planets. In a Cancer ascendant horoscope, they own the 3rd, 7th, 8th and 12th houses. Each of these houses, is either neutral, or an out-right trouble-creator house. This means, the initial 32 years in the life of this aspiring ‘big brother’ would have been very difficult and challenging. India would not have survived all that it had to face in the first 32 years, without ‘courage’ and without help from dasha lords.

However, in a Taurus ascendant horoscope, the same two planets – Saturn and Mercury, who were lords of India’s first two mahadashas – own the 9th, 10th, 2nd and 5th houses. Each of these 4 houses is considered benefic, and by virtue of ownership of these houses, both Saturn and Mercury became functional benefics. Their dashas supported the execution of five-year plans, setting up of premier institutions of education and heavy industries and helped in employment generation.

So, to answer questions of argumentative readers who know 'a few things' about astrology, we say – The astrologers engaged for independence muhurta calculation were NOT incompetent. They were smart, good at evaluation of options and comparison of possible outcomes. Consequences of all possible independence declaration times were considered and a deliberate and wise choice was made by Nehru and his associates.

Long story short, Rahu’s problem just had to be bought. Any evasion attempt would have brought more pain and misery than Rahu itself.

We can easily tell our readers, the principles of predictive astrology and the calculations of mathematical astrology behind the reasons that enable Rahu to create mischief, but inclusion of that information will make the article too technical, lengthy and uninteresting. If time allows, we will do that in some future article in a way that even those uninitiated in astrology will be able to follow those slightly complicated concepts.

Now, let’s go back to the original topic of the article – ‘Expiry Dates of Muhurtas

Smart readers will agree, that this article has enough information to help a rational individual decide how much longer India’s ‘independence muhurta’ will deliver on the expectations of its founding fathers.

What is the purpose of this article?

The first objective is to make people understand that muhurtas don’t last forever. So, muhurta seekers should invest some effort in finding out when the muhurta calculated for their ‘big-impact’ activity, is likely to expire.

The second reason is related to the example we took for explaining the concept. The example was that of independent India’s horoscope. We want the voters in India to understand what their vote can do. We are in 2023. The next Indian general elections in will be held in 2024. We want the voters in India to think about who they will elect in 2024 and why. Are the voters prepared to see a repeat performance by Rahu between February 2026 and March 2027? If not, we hope voters will choose their candidates wisely.

The third reason for writing this article was to once again deliver on our promise of giving our readers and clients information, that they can use for making informed decisions. We think we have once again presented facts which will be of interest to those who play a ‘high-stakes game’ and formulate strategy for the future.

We are in the business of predicting the future. We provide information. We are not selling any tangible products which prospective customers can test before buying. At most, to make it easier for our readers to understand why they should take results of our horoscope evaluation seriously, we can give references of past events and correlate those with operating dashas. That we have done.

The ‘eternal-optimist’ types can choose to rubbish our deductions at their own peril.

We are in June 2023 and Mars’ dasha is a little over 25 months away. What happens during Mars will be controlled by the government elected in 2024. Its 'make or break' time for India. Forewarned is forearmed.

Afterword

We thought this article requires an afterword section to tell our readers how this article can influence what is likely to happen in 2026. Indian government agencies have been keeping a close watch on our astrologer for a very long time. Moles, watchers and informers, in plain clothes, as well as in uniform, have been hanging around our astrologer for several years now. His phone calls are heard, his emails and phone-chats are read, his computer is hacked and God knows what all is done in an attempt to get actionable information before others. What our astrologer chooses to leak to these information-seekers, gives some advantage to those making decisions at the highest level. We know this sounds very unbelievable and absurd, so we will give five examples in our attempt to convince the reader.

  1. Rafale Deal – Back in 2017, when the noise about irregularities in the Rafale fighter-jet-deal had just started, our astrologer, in a phone conversation had explained to another astrologer, why the deal was a scam and why the Indian taxpayer will be fooled and fleeced. The same logic that you have read here was presented. Two days later, the chief of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) – Alok Verma, was hastily removed from his position. Reportedly, he had started investigation on the alleged irregularities of the Rafale deal.

  1. Run-Up to the 2019 LS Elections – In January 2019, a lawyer had asked our astrologer to calculate a muhurta for the start of his new law-firm. The muhurta calculation was done according to the business that had to be started. (A law-firm earns because its clients have a dispute with somebody. Basically, a law-firm gains from disputes.) So, a good day to start activities that will help gain from other people’s disputes, was calculated and suggested to the lawyer. This day was 14th February 2019. Result of the muhurta calculation exercise was conveyed by our astrologer to the muhurta seeker (lawyer) over the phone. Government agencies listen to the phone calls of our astrologer. Now, the reader has to think about answers to the following questions –
  1. What else happened on that day? Did the incident start a ‘new dispute’ in an ongoing conflict?
  2. Did anyone ‘gain’ from that ‘new dispute’? Think about all the events that transpired as a result of that incident. Factor-in what the then governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. Satyapal Malik has very candidly told the media. Then answer the question – Cui Bono? (You will have to be good at math to put two and two together)

  1. Unusual Appointments by the Government – In January 2020, the former Chief Justice of India- Ranjan Gogoi was made a member of the Rajya Sabha. The Rajya Sabha is the upper house of the Indian parliament, where members can be hand-picked. In the same month, a former Chief of Army Staff was made India’s first Chief of Defense Staff (CDS). These are unusual appointments simply because such appointments have never happened before. This probably was done to spite our astrologer because in one of his telephonic conversations with another astrologer in December 2019, he was discussing why ‘power and position’ will not translate to ‘fame’ in every case, because the planetary combinations for both are different and rarely found in the same horoscope together. His exact words were, - “One can become the Army Chief or the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, but will still never be half as famous as somebody who does cricket commentary on TV or acts in a few successful films. Even the most illustrious CJs and Generals will be forgotten quickly.” Seems somebody wanted to prove him wrong. Brainy readers will understand why our astrologer laughed heartily on reading the news about these unusual appointments.

  1. India’s response to the earthquake in Turkey. A well-informed person will know that India responded very quickly to the news about the earthquake in Turkey. Medical help from India reached Turkey within hours. Information about an imminent tragedy in that region, especially Syria, was available in our article on Mars’ retrogression in Taurus, which we had put-up on our website several months before.

  1. In our last article about Indian and Pakistani independence, we had mentioned - Jawaharlal Nehru, traditional practice, and ‘hand-over’ of power. The spectacle created for the inauguration of India’s new Parliament building included offering of prayers in ‘traditional style’ by priests in ‘traditional attire’ and a lot of talk about the symbol of ‘power hand-over’ – a sceptre, which ‘Jawaharlal Nehru’ had been presented on the eve of independence in 1947. Can all this be a co-incidence? You decide.

We can’t give you recordings of the said phone-calls, but those who keep track of news and events in India, will recall and agree, that everything in the first 3 stated incidents was VERY unusual. Regular readers and followers of JyotishWorks.com will agree that no proof of point 4 and 5 is required.

At this point, we think it is appropriate that we take advantage of what has been stated above, and solicit muhurta-calculation, and other horoscope-evaluation work by quoting a dialogue from the hugely famous Hollywood film Top Gun, which is – “We can see its dangerous (risky) for you. But if the government trusts (takes its cues from) us, then maybe you could.”

Now, the main reason for adding the afterword section.

We waited for 3 weeks to add this (afterword) section, so that our readers get the chance to see what the Indian government does after this article is posted. Within these 3 weeks, despite the focus being promotion of 'home-grown-tech' under the ‘Make-in-India’ initiative, the Indian government has initiated a defense-deal that could materialize later, and questions about whether the proposed merchandise is over-priced are being asked. Truthful answers to those questions will have to be dug-out by genuine investigative journalists and interested opposition parties.

If you found the information given in the afterword section believable, then it would have been easy for you to guess that the Indian government will probably do nothing, in the highlighted Mars-Rahu period, to raise suspicion over any deal, defense or otherwise. So it seems, they started early.

We won’t mind at all if our prediction about a defense-deal-scam during Mars-Rahu dasha is actually proven incorrect by the government of the day. We will happily revel in the satisfaction that our website saved the Indian taxpayer, a lot of hard-earned money.
