Shiv Sena – A Party in Crises

This prediction article aims to provide an astrological explanation of the crises situation that an Indian political party – Shiv-Sena finds itself in. For the benefit of those readers who don’t follow politics in India or are unaware of the current situation in Maharashtra, we will first quickly sum-up the present day situation.

Shiv-Sena is part of the political-alliance that has been in power in the Indian state of Maharashtra, after state elections were held in October 2019. Their leader, Uddhav Thackeray became the Chief Minister of Maharashtra after getting support and necessary numbers to form the government, from the INC and the NCP.

The Maharashtra state assembly has 288 seats and to form the government, the claimant must get support from 145 MLAs. Shiv-Sena had 56 MLAs of its own, out of which 39 MLAs rebelled on 21st June, 2022 and have been trying to put pressure on their party chief and CM – Uddhav Thackeray, to disassociate with the INC and the NCP. This move by the rebel MLAs is indeed shocking, and has put the existence of the party in danger.

As per the Indian Anti-Defection Law, for defecting and not being disqualified, a minimum of 1/3rd of the total MLAs must separate from their parent party. And if the separating MLAs wish to join some other party, their minimum number must be at least 2/3rd of the total number in the parent party.

In this case, the rebels have succeeded in getting past the 2/3rd number of 38, as per news reports.

Now, why would something so shocking, unfortunate and disappointing happen?

Let’s look at Shiv-Sena’s horoscope. The information required to cast the chart is –

  1. Date – 19th June, 1966
  2. Time – 6:19 PM
  3. Place – Mumbai, India

To keep the article short and interesting, we will jump right to the main features of Shiv Sena’s horoscope that have conjured this rebellion.

  1. There are 4 planets in the 8th house.
  2. The current Maha-Dasha Lord (Mercury) and Antar-Dasha Lord (Jupiter), both are placed in the 8th house.
  3. Another feature which must be looked at separately and carefully is – Jupiter being the 2nd Lord (maarak planet or death-inflicting planet) is placed in the 8th house of longevity, in a sign it considers inhospitable, while being hemmed by a weak Moon on one side, and it’s enemy – Mercury on the other.

The 8th house is a house of longevity, or in other words, it has a huge say over how long something or someone will last. Also, the 8th house is a house of mystery and secrets, of unexpected and sudden events, and of disappointments and dissatisfaction.

Both MD and AD lords are placed in the 8th house and so there will be a lot of 8th house activity during this MD-AD period.

This was a sudden event no-doubt. It has happened because the rebel MLAs or at least some of them were unhappy. If any dissatisfaction had been expressed earlier, it would have been addressed. The scale and success of the rebellion indicates that it must have been planned secretly and carefully for quite some-time. News reports have even suggested that this may not entirely be due to the said dissatisfaction amongst Shiv-Sena MLAs, but may actually be the handiwork of a mysterious orchestrator, working in the background, to exploit the dissent and topple the Maha-Vikas-Aaghadi (MVA) government. All this must be very disappointing for the Shiv-Sena leadership.

So, we see, there is suddenness, there is dissatisfaction, there is disappointment and of course there is mystery. This is classical 8th house action.

Also, to explain what feature number 3 means, it can be safely said – Jupiter’s presence as a maarak planet (death-inflicting planet) in the house of longevity is not good. Jupiter’s occupancy of an inimical sign in the 8th house is also not good. Both these occurrences can shorten the life of the entity, which in this case is – Shiv-Sena. Since Jupiter is operating at the 3rd level, (Pratyantar Dasha) too, the effects will be quite severe. Indeed, the blow by the rebel MLAs has put the existence of the party in danger. It may not seem very likely at the moment, but those disagreeing must remember that Jupiter’s Antar-Dasha has just started, (in April 2022) and will continue till July 2024. A lot can happen between now and then.

The saving grace here is –

  1. Mercury’s presence in the 8th house as the 8th lord  (Gives some strength to the 8th house)
  2. Moon’s presence in the 8th house as the 9th lord. (Gives some/minor support of the administration)

Why has the article been written?

The due process to topple the government requires a vote of no-confidence by a majority of the Members of the Legislative Assembly. As per news reports, the voting is scheduled to happen at – 11 AM on the 30th of June, 2022.

Since we were evaluating Shiv-Sena’s horoscope, we will give our opinion, on whether the chosen day and time is good for Shiv-Sena.

Short answer – It is not a good day for Shiv-Sena.

Our advice to the Shiv-Sena leadership is – If possible, have the no-confidence voting rescheduled for the 1st or the 2nd of July.

11:00 AM on 1st July is better than 11:00 AM on 30th June.

And 10:30 AM on 2nd July is better than 11:00 AM on 1st July.

Question – Why should the voting be delayed?

Answer – On the 2nd of July, Mercury, the 8th lord in Shiv-Sena’s horoscope, will enter Gemini (the 8th house) and reduce the impact of the ‘life-shortening-attempt’ which is being made by the rebel MLAs.

Please Note – ‘life-shortening-attempt’ means ‘No Trust Vote’. The life being spoken of here is not that of an individual, but that of the political party in question.

Also, transit must be applied from the Moon, and on doing that we find, 2nd July turns out to be a better day than both 30th June and 1st July because, currently, the lagna-lord or lagnesh from the Moon, (Moon-sign lord) is in the 12th house (Taurus) and so the party leadership must be feeling helpless at the moment. Lagna lord in the 12th house may give luxury (5-Star hotel stay) and may take the person to places far from home, (Guwhati) but it also definitely gives a feeling of losing control, and that of helplessness. What we mean is – even some of the rebel MLAs will be feeling disgusted and helpless in Guwhati, just like their leader in Mumbai.

This will change definitely, after Mercury comes to Gemini. The confidence of the loyalists who are currently under-pressure, will increase, and so will their ability to bring about positive change. Therefore, this 'No-Trust Vote' MUST happen on or after 2nd July, if Shiv-Sena has to salvage something meaningful from this situation.
